Fanfiction printing: legal or illegal?

It all started when a website owner stated that she had printed a fanfic for her own personal enjoyment because she was going on a trip. Some on said that she should print off "The Office" by tby789 and Alsion asked for the PDF file. Some one tweeted her the link to a fanfic downloader and she tweeted the link to is several times. A pretty improtant person twilight wise tweeted her these few tweets (to understand better start at the tweet on the bottom :-)):

@TwiFans You, as a website owner should know that anything COPYRIGHTED should never be willingly distributed w/o owner's permission.
@TwiFans Stephenie isn't selling Midnight Sun and it's still illegal to print.
@TwiFans But how do YOU know that people printing this won't distribute for selling/profiting under another name?
@TwiFans Because you are distributing their work without their permission! Of course they have every right to take down their work.
@TwiFans Yes, but its a PUBLICLY COPYRIGHTED content that you are allowing people to print. Don't be suprised when you get served with a C&D
@TwiFans You do realize that these authors can pull all their stories now that you have publicized this issue.
@TwiFans They want you to read it ONLINE. Printing= distribument without author's permission.
@TwiFans Yeah but that's just like having Stephenie's Midnight Sun PDF file and printing that... still illegal.
@TwiFans Uhhhhhh I'm pretty sure thats illegal.. since these authors own all their content for the fan fictions...

Sooo this leads me to my post today. Is printing fanfictions wrong? Also notice that you see the word "distribute" alot. Alison was not going to sell it to anyone. Who want to be on a long flight with nothing to do? No one. I feel that if you sell the printed work for a profit that its wrong but for your own enjoyment? No- I feel that that is fine. Soooo tell me in the comments what you feel.

Hush,Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick Review

I know I know another book review but seriously this book was so good I had to review it. I had known about this book since the summer. The second I saw the cover I was so intriged ( I mean come on how could you not be intriged by a cover like that?!) I scrolled down the page and read the summary and I was all "Woa. I have to read that book" so I patiently awaited October 13th (when the book was released) and I eventually got the book on November 25th at Hastings. This Monday (12/7) I started reading the book and I got to chapter 9 the 1st day- I was automatically hooked. I couldnt put the book down. It is full of twists and turns and mysteriosity and well.. Patch :-). I never knew what was goign to happen next so I had to keep on reading. Becca does such an amazing job telling the story. Yep I currently have 4 fictional boyfriends (Edward,Peeta(Hunger Games), Sam (Shiver) and now Patch teehee). I finished the book at 1:36 PM this evening and I already cant wait to reread it and of course I'm waiting (..not so patiently) until the 2nd book Crescendo to be released. If you havent read this book you really .... really should. Like what are you waiting for?!

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater Review

Okay so before I start this review I must say that I saw this book at Hastings weeks before actually bought the book. I saw the book and read the inside flap and thought "wow this sounds really good" but I put it back on the shelf. Eventually I bought the book and I read the book in 3 days. I finished it last night at 6:25. I absolutely loved it and I cant wait until "Linger", the 2nd book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series- July 20th 2010 has never seemed so far away lol. Shiver was amazing and everything I look for in a book. Sam **sigh**, Sam was great. This book was really good and I can deffinately see myself recommending this book for years and years. I applaude you Ms. Stiefavater.

New Moon Movie Review

Honestly I dont have anything negative to say about this movie. The acting was fantastic, the makeup was fantastic, the clothes were fantastic, just everything was fantastic. The movie did seem to go really fast but that was probably just because of the fact that anyone who has read the books knew what was going to happen. The pack was awesome. The Volturi was awesome. Eric (justin chon) cracked me up when he was crying when were watching Romeo&Juliet- and Mike just looked bored lol. I thought that Billy Burke rocked Charlie once again. Ashely did a fantastic job. Poor Nikki didnt have any lined much at all but I thought that the 1 she did have was an important one. Kellan cracked me up as did Jackson. The dialoge of the movie Bella,Jake, and Mike watched just cracked me up. Oh God I l LOVED this movie. Chris Weitz is a GENEOUS!

Meeeeeppp! I cant wait until tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the day. Tomorrow I shall sit in a theater and I shall watch the awesomess that Chris Weitz calls New Moon.. well Stephenie actually wrote the book first but oh well! I have yet to personally see a negative review. I've tried to steer away from as many spoilers as possible but thats kind of impossible isnt it? I'm so excited right now. The excitement can barely stay contained in me- I'm having an out-of-body expierence here. You all have no hacking clue how painful last night was because EVERYONE I follow on twitter was sending their little "MEEEP! getting ready to head to the theater" tweets... everyone but me......
I was seriously having myself a pity party lol but I dont have to wait much longer. I'm going to see new moon for the the 1st time tomorrow at 12 o'clock noon------ and I cant wait!

That's right people the GERMAN rock band, Tokio Hotel. Gosh! Where do I even BEGIN?! How about with Bill Kaulitz?! Umm Yeh:

What was I talking about? oh yeh, Tokio Hotel XD. Anyways so yeh they are pretty awesome but then again I am a sucker for a German accent....
I thought their "Scream" ablum was good ,boy that was just a taste of what kind of rocktastic music those 4 German boys can make. Their music is rock.. but it isnt "life sucks. i want to die. i want to kill you" kind of metal rock.It's the kind of rock music that kids my age should listen to (please dont take that the wrong way) yet full adults could jam to their music. "Humanoid" is so hacking amazing words can even beging to describe what an amazing ablum it is!

Seriously if you havent checked this band I recommend you do it... FAST.... like RIGHT NOW

So, today I was watching tiffanyd666's new video and I got the inspiration for this post. The whole time I was watching the video, I was automatically reminded of a time where I would spend all day doing nothing but watching fanmade trailers or fanmade twilight music videos. Then I was remembered that Twilight fansites had sent in their favorite fanmade videos to a site who's name absolutely escapes me right now. So as you all should know I am like IN LOVE with Jeff Hardy... seriously I even used to have a "Jeff won" dance for when he won a match lol. Yes my obsession/addiction is just that bad. Tonight on Smackdown there was a cage match that was Jeff Hardy VS. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. They added on that the loser would have his WWE career ended. Jeff ,being the risk taker** smile** that he is ,accepted. Why am I not suprised. It came down to the match and Jeff was coming to the ring only to be ASSALTED by CM Punk (like he is every week! THE ASSHOLE!). So CM PUNK GOT AN EFFIN HEADSTART! Jeff was doing awesome but at the final moments of the match CM Punk was about to go over the steel cage but Jeff tried to stop him only to be pushed back onto the bottom of the ring therefore CM Punk landed with both.feet.on.the.ground. I started crying and I could'nt breathe. CM PUNK IS A SORE LOSER. You dont see Jeff attacking his opponets if he doest win match like some straight edge susperstar I'm not gonna name **coughcoughCMPunkcoughcouch**. I know it will not be the end of Jeff's career. He will only be gone for a few weeks (or atleast thats what I'm gonna tell myself). Jeff will deffinatly be missed by many. This is not the end of Jeff Hardy, its only a time where he will be gone. CM Punk might have won but Jeff Hardy WILL RISE AGAIN AS THE Charismatic Enigma /The Risk taker/ The Dare Devil.

The Used "Artwork" Ablum Review

I am a major fan of The Used so I honestly cannot say how excited I was about this ablum. The first 2 singles were so amazing so I was ready for one E.P.I.C ablum and then I see the ablum trailer on their myspace and that doubles my excitement 10x.It was all about what big magazines had said about it. (EX. "The must have ablum of 2008") Well I have listened to the "must have ablum" of the year. Not At All what I had expected now don't get me wrong I LOVE IT. It is AMAZING. Very catchy lyrics and amazing guitar and drums. Classic The Used. But did it really deserve such a hype? I really tried to go into it without any expectations and I though I did.... at first. That was until I got the actual ablum and listend to it and I decided that maybe after all I did expect something. Like I said Blood On My Hands and Born To Quit are absolutely aammaaazzziinngg. So over all a very ablum just not what I expected. A Very Pleasant Suprise is what I've decided. So go buy it and listen to it and just talk about how awesome Bert McCracken sounds on it.... actually the whole band sounds quite awesome.

So yesturday was our 1st "Library Day" of the school year. It is exactly how it sounds: For one class period (the period you have reading) you go to the library and read and check out books. I looked down on one shelf and I pick up this book:

Tiffany has a EXCELLENT taste in books so I go and sit down and begin to read.

LONG STORY SHORT: I read the first 124 pages in 1 CLASS PERIOD.

Summer comes to an end....

School (for me) starts tomorrow. I just wanted to let you all know how amazing it has been to be able to spend my summer with you all. It was amazing. You all made my summer awesome. I love you all so much. Tomorrow I return to the decrepit halls of JCMS (for the last year). I will still vlog just not as often and the videos will come later at night or earlier in the morning depending on where you are in the world. I cant believe it is already time for school to start again. WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?! It just seems like yesturday I was so happy about the last day of school and now here it is- time to go back again. This summer has been so full of
amazing oppurtunities and I have met some really amazing people. I feel so sad to be leaving you all but I miss my friends :)

Getting a response from your favorite fanfic author

I have been in love with this girl ever sience I read "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All". Even though my favorite fanfic may be "Wide Awake" by AngstGoddess003 that doesn't change the fact that my favorite author is ashel-13. The other day I was looking for something in MLOONAA and I couldnt find it so I decided to PM (private message) her. As I was typing the message I had to go back and reread and reread it to make sure what I wanted was clear and easily understandable and of course to check for typos and spelling/grammar mistakes. I knew she would reply I just didnt know when- or how I would react. This was in my inbox about 10-14 hours after I sent the message:

My Response:

Even though that might be my response to the email when I read her reply I felt like I had been talking to her all of my life. So the moral of this blogpost: don't be afraid to talk to someone in the Twilight Nation- even if they are "famous". They are just like us. Remember they were once not famous. I had a problem with this for a while. I had love ashel-13 for about a year but I had never sent her a message.

The Types of Rob Fans

I apologize for the lack of updates on me but I just had to post this :)

The awesome user yellowgumdrop over at the IMDB boards came up with this fun list which is too awesome and too funny to not share.It’s a list of different Robert Pattinson fans. Which one are you?
- The “Minions”
They put Rob on some pedestal and act like he’s the best at everything in the entire world. All his films deserve to be award winners, he should get more awards, and basically every person needs to bow down to this awesomeness. Anyone that says anything bad about Rob should go to hell. They’re known for their extreme voting abilities, negative thread deletions, and Lainey Gossip write-ins.
- The “Wannabe”
They try to emulate Rob by listening to the same bands he likes, reading the books he reads, and wearing the same clothes as him. They were once very preppy… now they’ve become a hipster. They also deny that Twilight exposed them to Rob because it’s not a cool book or movie… even if they liked it.
- The “Follower”
They show up to as many Rob/Twilight events as possible to feel closer to him, but if they can’t do that, they’ll go after the events of his friends and fellow cast-mates. All they care about is being surrounded by the Rob inner circle.
-The “I’m Not A Stalker”
They believe that if you’ve spent a whole hour/day trying to figure out the places Rob could be at so you could “randomly” bump into him and get an autograph… it’s not stalking. This includes all those fans that went to Vancouver with Twilight book in bag, and waited outside the set/hotel/restaurant for hours and hours, and went bar hoping each night.
- The “Empathizer”
They believe they know Rob’s emotional state, to the point that they know what makes him happy, sad, angry, embarrassed, upset, etc. They try to do/stop things that could incite any of these emotions on Rob. All they care for is Rob’s physical and emotional health… pretending to be more like a mother. Rob is fragile in their eyes.
- The “Nympho”
They only think of one thing: Sex with Rob. Probably doing things to themselves while thinking of him. His fingers, hair, legs, crooked nose, eyes, dandruff, elbows… all of those things turn them on. They have dirty minds and can’t help themselves.
- The “Purists”
They believe Rob is a good person. He only smokes because someone got him addicted, and he’s trying to stop. He doesn’t do drugs or drink. He is a virgin. Of course Little Ashes is a movie not to be talked about or seen… Rob just needed money.
- The “Edwardians”
They believe Rob is Edward and he belongs with Kristen, his Bella. It is hard for them to see Rob the individual. They continuously confuse his behavior for the characters, thinking he can bite them and turn them into a vampire.
- The “Entitled”
They are quick to mention that they liked Rob way before anyone else, and hate the idea that he has so many more fans now. Rob was theirs first and anyone else that comes along doesn’t really know the real Rob and just likes him because they saw him in Twilight… and that’s a bad thing to them.
- The “Shippers”
They think the names Kristen, Nikki, Camilla, Miquita, Nina Ex, are all bad names associated with Rob. All they worry about are his relationships with females. To the point where they can’t stop talking about it or finding evidence of romanticism. They are sometimes similar to the Empathizer fans because these female friends could be harmful. The names Tom, Sam, Bobby, and Marcus are all good names and can do no harm to Rob…even if one might have supplied him with drugs.
- The “Newbies”
They are beginning to understand why Rob has such a large fan base. Most don’t know who Nina is, what How To Be is, or what Robsten is. They also get scared when they encounter one of the other types of Rob fans.
- The “Closeted”
They don’t mention their love of Rob and hide it from their husbands, boyfriends, friends, family, etc. They act as if they don’t know who Rob is, even if someone mentions how hot he is. These closet fans also lurk on boards.

I was looking at some pictures from the "Remember Me" filming yesturday. This movie is going to have a part that will absolutely break our hearts. They were filming a VERY intense scene yesturday. Woooo I would like to wish you all a belated Happy 4th of July. I hope you all got to see lottsss of fireworks :). Today has been a gossip filled day in the Twilight nation and I thought I would give you guys the rundown .

Interesting Happenings......

...or maybe not so interesting.

Now that summer is almost half over I have decided to enjoy every moment of it. I return to the decrepit halls of JCMS on August 5th. I havent been out of the house since SUNDAY (and my mom calls me a hermit **rolls eyes**)- but thats the way I like it. I have had time to do alot of things in the twilight universe.
In the course of 4 Days I have:

made this Blogspot
made a latuacantanteX video
filmed "My TWILIGHT Story" for twilight documentary
updated my twitter a lot more often
made a twilight related myspace (myspace.com/catherinedenali)
learned that Billy Burke and RPattz are dating XD
learned that Billy Burke and BRAD PITT are having an affair - again XD
Watched the ROB DEFRANCO "SINGLE LADIES" BIKINI DANCE
discovered the most wonderful site on the face of the planet: http://robert-pattinson.ca/

Of course I did almot more things in 4 days than that but those are the ones that stick out in my mind the most.
